On Monday, the world´s largest congress on the prevention of crime and violence will start in Berlin. The 24th Annual Congress will focus on the interplay between the areas of "Prevention & Democracy Promotion". In view of current social developments, it is necessary to deal with the relationship between the democratic social order and the prevention of extremism, violence and other serious crime.
Together with its central partners, the German Prevention Congress calls on all political leaders at the federal, state and local levels and at the European level to work for lasting structures for the prevention of radicalisation and the promotion of democracy. Prevention efforts must be diverse and anchored in civil society.
