Online Micro-Course: Ending Violence in Schools

Violence in schools affects everyone. It’s proven to have a significant effect on public health, crime, and labour market success, but is too often tackled in a silo. Although it has implications for many policy areas.

Apolitical offers an online course about Ending Violence in Schools. Topics include sexual violence, cyberbullying and aggression, corporal punishment, reporting, mindfulness and the use of data for safer schools, among others.

The course includes:

• A bite-sized activity or article, each taking 10 minutes or less, for 10 weeks;
• A practical introduction to what every public servant should know about crafting policy for safer schools — and how to apply it in your work; and
• Activities and articles that range from case studies and interviews through to quizzes and reading lists.

Open to all participants from the public service, civil society, and academia. Registration ends September 15.
