The team of the German Prevention Congress is in deep mourning

On 1 December, our long-time and beloved colleague Karla Marks passed away. Karla Marks (formerly Schmitz) has been the first full-time head of the permanent office of the German Prevention Congress since 1999. She has shaped, organized and built up the German Prevention Congress for more than 20 years and promoted the work of the German Prevention Congress and its Institute for Applied Prevention Research.

The team of the German Prevention Congress bows in great gratitude to the life's work of Karla Marks. Her friendly and helpful nature, her overwhelming commitment and her successful work remain unforgotten and are both a role model and an obligation for us.

Today we dedicate our thoughts and our time to her. May she rest in peace.
