PRACTICIES - Partnership Against Violent Radicalisation in Cities
In recent years, there has been increasing concern among European cities’ population and governing bodies about the rise of radicalisation and violent extremism, which has led local authorities to consider these issues as key priorities in their crime prevention strategies. In particular, they are keen to understand the underlying processes of radicalisation in order to better prevent them.
The European PRACTICIES (“Partnership Against Violent Radicalisation in Cities”) project, launched in 2017 with the financial support of the European Commission, examined the phenomenon of radicalisation in all its different facets and developed concrete tools that European cities can use to locally prevent radicalisation, adapting them to their needs and particular contexts.
Results of the project are now bundled in a publication. Read publication in English and French.
