The 2020 COVID-19 pandemic has taken a terrible toll in lives, illness, and economic devastation and it is having diverse effects on violence and crime. Therefore, the Daily Prevention News publishes weekly a Corona Crime Issue dedicated to collect related relevant news and information.

The Agenda for Action is based on the different mandates of the entities involved and provides a child right and multi-sectoral framework for action.   3. UNICEF and Airtel Africa announce partnership to support children and families affected by COVID-19
    UNICEF announced a new partnership with Airtel Africa aimed at providing children with access to remote learning and enable access to cash assistance for their families via mobile cash transfers. Under this partnership, UNICEF and Airtel Africa will use mobile technology to benefit an estimated 133 million school-age children currently affected by school closures in 13 countries across sub-Saharan Africa during the COVID-19 pandemic.     The City of Cannes has been trialling artificial intelligence (AI) software to track mask-wearing and social distancing in preparation for the easing of France’s strict lockdown from today. An AI algorithm transforms images from security cameras into data to calculate the number and percentage of people who are wearing face masks and practicing social distancing, as is required in public places due to coronavirus (COVID-19).
