The 2020 COVID-19 pandemic has taken a terrible toll in lives, illness, and economic devastation and it is having diverse effects on violence and crime. Therefore, the Daily Prevention News publishes weekly a Corona Crime Issue dedicated to collect related relevant news and information.

1. Combating the disinfodemic: Working for truth in the time of COVID-19
   The impacts of COVID-19 disinformation are more deadly than disinformation about other subjects, such as politics and democracy. To #ShareKnowledge, UNESCO has published two policy briefs offering critical insights into the fast-growing COVID-19-related disinformation that is impeding access to trustworthy sources and reliable information. 2. Video: Schools, education and COVID-19
   In the first half of 2020, 188 countries temporarily closed their schools to slow down the spread of Covid-19, with more than 1.5 billion young people on their own or following classes online. Many school re-openings since then have continued to be disrupted by the virus. What are the trade-offs between getting kids back to school and keeping communities healthy? 5. The Covid crisis has highlighted the critical role of cities in ensuring citizens’ safety and welfare
   Efus and representatives of the cities of Nice (France) and Madrid (Spain), the three co-leaders of the Partnership on Security in Public Spaces of the Urban Agenda for the EU, as well as the Eurocities network and the World Health Organisation (WHO) discussed the impact of the Covid-19 crisis on cities and regions, the lessons they’ve learned and how they can better prepare for future challenges during a workshop organised online by the Urban Agenda Partnership, on 16 October.
