1. Relaxation of will-making rules during COVID may open elderly to abuse
   The writing of wills has drastically changed during the pandemic, with lockdown and other restrictions rendering the traditional rule of all parties signing off in person difficult, if not impossible. Source: The Age
2. COVID-19 frauds: An exploratory study of victimization during a global crisis
   The COVID-19 pandemic threated public health and safety and led to a number of virus-related fraud schemes. Researchers surveyed over 2,200 American adults to investigate their experiences with COVID-19-related frauds to better understand fraud targeting and victimization, as well as the impacts of fraud on victims. Over a quarter of our sample reported purchasing either a COVID-19-related product or a service, yet 42.5% reported feeling targeted for fraud. Source: Criminology & Public Policy
3. A pediatrics group wants children screened for mental and behavioral health problems at every doctor appointment
   Even before the delta variant of COVID-19 started sickening more children, doctors bemoaned the pandemic’s impact on youths. Now the American Academy of Pediatrics says doctors need to screen for a different set of symptoms associated with the coronavirus: mental and behavioral health problems. Source: Deseret News
