DPT-TV: Violence and Threats against local officials in Germany
DPT-TV Programme of the week for our international audience:
April 6, 2022 – 11.10 am CEST
Lecture: Violence and Threats against local officials in Germany
In times of increasing violence and disrespect against public servants, many municipalities are implementing different prevention approaches. While de-escalation courses are already offered in many municipalities, there is often a lack of standardised recording or procedures on how to deal with violence.
The city of Cologne is developing a procedure that systematically and digitally maps the entire process from reporting and recording to accident and criminal reports and support by psychological helpers as well as managers. The central recording of assaults as the first project module also allows conclusions to be drawn about the development of cases.
April 6, 2022 – 11.40 am CEST
Project Presentation: Media Scouts in the city of Augsburg
The Augsburg media scouts are young people between the 7th and 12th grade of all types of schools who are trained for six months and thus enabled to pass on their sound knowledge and experience to younger people, peers, parents and educational professionals. In the training, the many interrelated aspects of media use, media criticism and media design as well as the legal basis can be experienced. The participatory learning approach and the orientation towards young people's interests enable a well-founded examination of the numerous opportunities as well as the challenges and dangers with and through media.
The registration gives you access to the online DPT-TV from April till November this year and serves as the ticket for our in-situ congress in Hannover, Germany, on October 4th & 5th.
