The Stockholm Prize in Criminology: The Winners 2025

The Stockholm Prize in Criminology is an international prize in the field of criminology. The prize is awarded for outstanding achievements in criminological research or for the application of research results by practitioners for the reduction of crime and the advancement of human rights.

Frances Crook, UK and Bryan Stevenson, USA have been awarded the Stockholm Prize in Criminology 2025. The international jury's motivation for Frances Crook and Bryan Stevenson receiving the award is that they based on applied knowledge from criminology have succeeded in reducing the occurrence of disproportionate punishment, in the UK and in the USA. The prize is presented in the Stockholm City Hall on June 10, in conjunction with the Stockholm Criminology Symposium, which takes place on June 9-11.
