Citizen Security and Public Safety - Participate in a Desgin Challenge
More news about the topic
DPT takes part in a European-funded security research project called Engage2innovate (E2i). The Engage2innovate consortium comprises six organisations from four different countries, bringing together the expertise and experience needed to deliver this ambitious project. A central part of E2i is the Student Design Challenge – an innovative competition aimed at enhancing citizen security and public safety through creative design solutions.
We are inviting individuals or teams of up to five members who are currently enrolled as students or have graduated within the past 12 months, to develop innovative ideas that enhance people's real and perceived safety in public spaces and urban mobility systems. We are looking for entries that showcase creativity, innovation, and feasibility, with a strong emphasis on rigorous research and end-user consultation, bason on human-centred design principles.
Participants are encouraged to submit detailed concepts with supporting visuals that address one of our key design briefs, each focusing on real-world safety challenges:
- Safety and security on and around public transport
- Safety and security in public spaces at night-time
