Specialization: Technical assistance in the implementation of
United Nations criminal justice norms and standards in the
context of criminal justice reforms, the control and prevention
of organized crime and international legal cooperation; customary
law; training of criminal justice officials (workshops,
seminars, etc.), urban youth crime prevention. Recent projects:
Firearm regulation; computerization of criminal justice
administration; assessment of organized crime in Central Asia
(Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan,
Uzbekistan); strengthening of criminal justice systems in
Central Asia to fight organized crime; international judicial
cooperation; South-South crime prevention cooperation.
Author of 2 books and over 40 arcticles, co-editor of 3 books.
